Since
1990, Cynthia and her husband had been dancing latin, ballroom and social
dances. She has been the dance convenor of Orchid Country Club since 1995,
planning dance events for the club. She had organized major events including the August Ball and Year End Ball from 1995 to 1999. On 19 December 1998, she organized a "Latin and Modern Challenge Trophy" Competition for dance competitors for competitions. |
| She
started teaching country line dances at the club since June 1998. Since
then, her students and dance followers had grown significantly and hence
"Country N Line" was formed to give her students and her dance followers
interesting dance events which are held periodically at many places throughout
the year. In June 1999, she initiated a country dance event called " Shindig " where several hundred country line dance participants gathered in the Grand Ballroom. It was a memorable evening which has helped sparked interest and awareness in country line dancing island wide. Since then, Orchid Country club had no difficulty in attracting a yearly crowd in June 2000, June 2001, June 2002, June 2003,June 2004 and July 2005. As resident instructors of the Club, Cynthia and her husband on behalf of the working committee of OCC wishes to thank all her students and their guests in supporting this grand occasion. |
